That old saying…

“Actions Speak Louder than Words” is a saying that is widely overlooked and highly underrated…so much so, that we no longer take a person’s word as their contractual agreement in a matter. It is the statement that speaks to the character of an individual and their ability to carry out the deeds of their spoken words. This same thought rings true in the Kingdom of God.

In the closing remarks of Jesus’ famous ‘Sermon on the Mount’, he begins talking about our actions of judging others and seeking God. In Matthew 7:21, Jesus says, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

He goes on talking about these individuals not ever being apart of his Kingdom and how he never knew them. Jesus requires our actions and words to agree and become one. Christ said nevertheless not his will but the Father’s will be done and led himself to the cross and he gave his life. 🙌🏽🙌🏽  On the cross, he interceded for the world by asking the Father to forgive them because they had no clue what they were really doing. Today, if we confess our sins to Christ and ask for forgiveness, he is faithful to forgive them. Jesus is the trendsetter and if his actions followed through on his words, we can do the same.

Let’s not say we love God, show him by doing the will of the Father!
